Miss America 2010, Caressa Cameron, Teams up with IHOP for National Pancake Day
Mark your calendars for National Pancake Day, this year on Tuesday, February 23, 2010. IHOP, one of America’s favorite restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner, is once again celebrating by serving millions of free pancakes to benefit Children’s Miracle Network.
With the help of the NFL Hall of Famer Steve Young, the newly crowned 2010 Miss America, and other celebrities IHOP hopes raise $1.75 million for Children’s Miracle Network, and other worthy local causes.
2010 will mark IHOP’s fifth year celebrating Pancake Day and more than 1,400 IHOP restaurants throughout the United States will once again invite guests to enjoy a free short stack of IHOP’s signature buttermilk pancakes from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on February 23rd. In return, IHOP guests are asked to donate what they would have paid for the free pancakes, or more, to the Children’s Miracle Network hospital in their community, or another designated local cause. IHOP’s franchisees and guests have raised over $3.2 million for the National Pancake Day celebration since 2006. The company hopes to raise a cumulative $5 million in five years of the program for Children’s Miracle Network and other local charities.
