National Safety Month Provides Reminder for all Equipment Users to Always Make Time for Safety

An alarming number of fatal farm accidents and injuries occur every year, with overturned tractors accounting for nearly fifty percent of the tractor fatalities. Sadly, the extent of these injuries and fatalities may have been lessened with the use of a roll over protection structure and fastened seatbelts.

June is the National Safety Council’s National Safety Month, and Kubota Tractor Corporation wants to remind all equipment users to always make time for safety.

Safety is something to think about all year round, and National Safety Month provides an excellent reminder to brush up on safety practices before using tractors, lawn and garden equipment, utility vehicles, or any moving equipment.

It’s important for all equipment operators – especially tractor operators – to wear seatbelts, and help promote safe operating practices with family and friends. Also, read the owner’s manual before using any moving equipment, and pay attention to warning labels. And, it’s important to drive at a safe speed and pay attention to changing terrain.
