A LOOK AT INFECTION CONTROL PROCEDURES FOR MEDICARE CERTIFIED OUTPATIENT SURGICAL CENTERS

SUMMARY:


Millions of outpatient surgeries are done each year in the United States for a wide range of procedures. In the last decade, the number of Medicare approved outpatient surgical centers grew more than 50 percent, to over five thousand. A new study looks at infection control procedures in a sampling of those centers.
